Being a Teen

Late nights spent,
void of time and rest,
trying to finish homework,
trying to gain respect.

Getting up early so
I can put on my mask,
hiding myself from everyone,
hoping it will last.

Going to school to learn
even more than before.
Stuffing out brains with knowledge,
tireing us even more.

Overloading our schedules,
striving to be the best,
always coming up short,
yet never getting a rest.

The clothes are piling up,
still have homework to do,
the dishes stacking up,
there's always something new.

The stress is mounting up,
a burden on my mind,
weighing it down deeper,
leaving me looking for peace I can't find.

Life as a teen is a challenge,
something we all have to do,
sometimes it's harder on others,
but hopefully I'll make it through.

I have exams all this week and this is how I feel sometimes.IT's a hard deal right now but I just let my feelings out about this. Not that great but let me know what u think!

I can relate to this as well. I had an exam yesterday and also one on friday. Your poem is excellent!! That's how I feel sometimes too. - It's amazing that you can express the feelings so well, in your poem. Loved it!
