Fire and Ice My heart is a fire That burns in this forest of me. Alone and undisturbed, it is contained. Your heart is frozen As cold as ice. Cool and calm it remains. You came into my life And your Arctic winds blew But you didn’t snuff my burning My fire just grew. Burning hotter and faster In inner natural disaster. I am consumed And I want to make you see That only your frozen heart Can stop my burning. My fire you’ll quench And your frozen heart I’ll warm. Otherwise, my heart will burn Until my forest is gone. Those who live by the sword, get shot by those who don't. |
