The scent of you rings strong
But I know we won't be companions until later on.
You taunt me red bottle, you make me smile red pills.
But, I shall act in decency, I shall bleed incessantly.
The taste so loud in my mouth.
I would take you,
but I'm so afraid of the dark.

There's yellow on the fringes,
there's a ring around her skin.
There's light, and its blinding my imagination, once again.

And as I lie here in this half-light, recounting all my theories.
I've decided
the unknown doesn't feel like a warm place.
And I shiver at the thought,
because I've always been too afraid of the dark.

Wow...this is probably the best poem I've read since I ventured back into this place. Great imagery. I love reading stuff like this, so raw and deep. Applause!
