Two palms spread tilling soil, pulled back, a quick snap from a burn left - by grains of silt and pebble. the grit of life. Oh, the last seedling of Spring rears its' sleepy head, steadfast and strong daring the sun to embrace it. Just this once . . . Yet, this small voice is stifled among a garden, flourishing with hydrangea, coneflower and sweet basil . . . Beneath the rock, tilted just so it hides, keeping company with the first frond of forest fern, waiting for its day to explode. [This message has been edited by littlewing (05-18-2004 12:58 PM).] |
