The way that she was,
Saw her thoughts turn wild,
So confused,
Her eyes like broken windows,
She can’t see,
Because the glass taunts,
Prickle her pupils,
So many voices,
Running through her head,
Tiring her mind out,
No one understands,
Least of all her.

Which way to run,
When there’s no place to hide,
She’s frightened,
But she won’t let on,
She won’t say why,
Because she doesn’t know,
Blinded by what people tell her,
She grasps the only answer,
No one there to say no,
Except her,
She holds on,
Desperate to make it,
It could be too late,
But she won’t let it happen,
She survives.
