Beaten black and blue,
Lying dissipated on the ground,
The concrete embedded into my cheek,
Manic laughter sounding above my head,
I’m still holding on,
To what I have left,
If I have anything,
Anyone.

Crossing over to the darkness,
Hardly breathing through the mist,
The anger wrapping up my fragile body,
Psychotic laughter getting further and further away,
I’m hanging by a thread,
To the cliff of your sanity,
If you have any,
Left.

Fading into the background unnoticed,
I try to scream out but I’m ignored,
The poisonous fog confusing me,
Crazy laughter cinched in the reality,
I had to let go,
Now I’m trapped,
But no one can hear me.

"What is it about the dark places that draw my spirit in? The agony? The silent shadows? I would give up my perfect destiny to know."
