-Tortured Soul- (written for the emotional poet) My heart is pounding, fear sets in. Life is knocking at my door again. Dare I answer? Is there hope Where dark times mainly interlope? Longing for love and sunlit days I wade chin-deep through a black water maze. Afraid to exit insanity’s arms I let my hopes trip life’s alarms. I do not answer the calling voice Unfortunately, I’ve sealed my choice. Alone is not where I want to be But alone is where my fear keeps me. Those around me see it not This wall of darkness around my thoughts. The day will come when searing light Will penetrate and give me sight. But for now, I’m safe and curled Inside my darkened, untouched world. |

You express that very well indeed. I always find it ironic, afraid to be happy but unhappy while being afraid. Nice |

I can relate to this one, thanks We spend our whole lives trying to live, only to realize that we don’t know what life is truly about until it is too late. |
