Eyes closed, Hardly breathing... Your stares stab through me, My pain is the blood that pours out. I used to be your little girl who you'd hold so close, You read me stories and swore everything would be alright. That was our past, this is our bloody future. Who could foretell that the question of my innocence would separate us. You yell so loud, My screams are unheard. All has changed, Nothing remains the same. ...So I throw everything away... You try to fix it by your empty threats. Cant you see, Nothing you can do will ever shake me. Tears roll down your cheeks, as I'm lost and forsaken. I was your little girl, Now grown up to be a whore.. You wash your hands clean of this, and try to reclaim my past purity. You yell so loud, My screams are unheard. All has changed, Nothing remains the same. ...So I just throw everything away... * A wise monkey never monkies with another monkey's monkey * |

Regretably poignant and current in so many families, though well penned with vivid sentiment and emotion. As for a title, being the odd little critter I am, I'd go with 'Taking out the Trash'. |
