If my eyes were mirrors Truth would be known You would see yourself Staring back at you Seeing all that you have done What you could have done And all that you could never do Showing all that you are And everything you could never be All the hurt and pain you have cause The darkness you have brought with your plague All this you would see Everytime you looked into my eyes You would not lie You could not lie The mirrors would show you, you As it would show me you That shield you have built for so many years Destroyed instantly All the memories you have pushed out of you mind Back instantly What do you say to such truth? What would you do in the face of such truth? You shield gone Your memories back Your breakdown coming If my eyes were mirrors You would not be able to lie Not be able to hurt, destroy, and bring death For they would show all And they never lie. I wear my scars proudly. They represent the battles through which I have gone, and I am proud because those battles I have won. |
