See her sitting Absent minded In her own nightmare She's just a child Yet her youth was stolen Wrecked with scars That will never heal Why do we commit Such horrid acts Against our own future Why is childhood stolen From those that are pure Reliving every minute Of abuse and neglect In vain we try to save her Yet we cannot reach her The wounds of her soul Are too deep No saviour will prevail For what was taken Can never be returned ->Be thy angels? Nay We are just men!<- |

Thank you for sharing this one. It is deeply sad and unfortunately true. Yes why indeed ? I have asked the question too. This happened to my niece. Hugs from June x |

This one hit home, and I thank you for sharing. This was well written. The only thing that caught my attention was when my mind tried to change the second line from "Absent minded" to "Absent mindedly". What do you think? Keep writing. |
