A wandering vagabond, lost in thought; Haunted by memories of the battles he fought. Everything changed after the war; Nothing the same, not like before. Remembering how life was once mundane, Until his mind struggled just to be sane. His loneliness along with a lingering fear Diminished him more and more each year. Imminent rejection – cast out and forsaken; Looks of disdain towards the oath he had taken. All that is left – a regretful past, A dismal future, deemed an outcast. ---------------- |
