Your words slip through me Through a dream weaved from Indian minds The riddle of tongue you speak Below my feet, they burn I cry undeservingly at your lips Demanding certainty of this path The path overgrown with roots I've rooted myself in these lies Lies created by an unloving mind Can it be you? I seek for the answers to these riddles you speak. Grasping at an understanding that you may be there I cannot let go of these burns Burns that rest below my feet From this concrete that you’ve poured. But I must discover A way to comprehend the meaning of these words You speak Apologetic verbs and misrouted whines I cry undeservingly at your lips Our wrists touch as we reach to an empty sky To understand why Why can’t I let go of these burns These burns below my feet I cry undeservingly at your lips Our chest intertwines, into one As a grace of beauty becomes this certainty A beginning to an understanding of why I cry undeservingly at your lips.
