I’ve put you in a box I pray it’s soft inside A box I must not even touch padded as it is Its edges sharp and cutting Its points that poke so painfully I must not even look at it so blinding is its light Why must love and life be so hurtful Are the words inscribed without That I must not can not touch what was Fearing another of its cruelties Coward that I am must not look upon your face How long how long must this go on With you within my box its lid upon so tight Must I kill the love I feel before we meet again What death blow shall I deliver to this skin of love that’s mine What words of value can I speak That tell you how I feel The words would only cut us more Not healing not soothing as my intent Not help set a course for us to follow Separate forever separate forevermore My ship without the content of my box Wonders rudderless in storm tossed sea Shredded sails broken masts Parted sea anchor helpless hopeless The box rests on that safe harbors dock Safe where it must be [This message has been edited by Didymus (05-08-2008 11:51 AM).] |

I might understand why you posted this in Dark, although it seems more of a sad writing to me. Welcome to Passions, Didymus, where you can let your sad light be sheltered until you find a new and brighter shade of sun. |
