Failure

The mirror is cracked
an image distorted
steam fills the room
as I wipe away the mist.
Who is this girl
who stares back at me?
I do not know her
but silently I whisper
her name.

Her eyes are brimmed red
inside they're filled with tears
my heart weeps for her
this girl no one knew.
What has happened to her
to expose this much pain?
I can not begin to imagine
but silently I remember
the horrible memories.

It is me who stands alone
it's me who wishes to die
I've tried to heal my wounds
but everyday I sink further.
What can I do to be okay
when my weakness surrounds me?
I can not try to begin again
when all that surrounds me
is failure.

A great write for anyone who feels they have ever failed in life, and isn't it strange how we can latch onto our failures instead of our accomplishments? Human nature makes us to strive to be the best we can be by those failures. Nicely written.

it was pretty good. i liked alot of the imagery. the first 2 stanzas were better than the last though. i think its funny that the mods give advice on life though...

Sharon is one of the smartest, most alive people that I know. I would take advice from her anyday of the week about anything.
