OUR DAYS OF FUTURES PAST Our days within the circle of love we call family How simple do we think of them as each day passes us by How normal do they seem Sometimes there is a feeling of electricity within the air Those moment s not soon forgotten Sometimes the most basic of times go unawares Sometimes the most basic of times are the best Remembered only in a photo Remembered only in passing That picture Those words They spark an eternity of memories Flooding your soul Filling your mind with love Drowning you in the times past So caught in the moment do we take it all for granted So caught in the moment of life Do we let it all pass by Until old age comes Forcing us to slow down Giving us the chance to flip through dust covered albums Giving us the chance to remember Remember the times we lost while caught within the fabric that created them Letting us see the emotions that ran The loved that flowed Without anyone ever really knowing it How sweet the thought How nice the picture That now hangs pride of place In your living room How sad you forgot the time Until all in the picture had passed |

Hmm,this is thought provoking. I've been thinking about it a lot lately. How people are intertwined, and why, and what about love. I'm parting out the photos from the family albums, and thinking how so many years are just a speck. The times we seem to have forgotten are really a part of us. Good write, Oregon man. |

Thanks Kahlil. I wrote this after stumbling upon a bag of old photos, looking through and seeing faces I know I can never talk to again. I realized just how much I ignored the obvious when it came to friends and family until too late. |
