Swimming around in my head
Are the fibers of depression
Too much to do
Too much to handle
Too much to anticipate
Too much to dwell on
Overwheming
Thoughts of inadequacy

The drowning thoughts
Kill my spirit
I am swept up by a riptide
Of negative thoughts
I just want to cover my head
Lie down upon a bed
Exist only in a closet
Of sleep

Never caring
If I awake again

You capture the feelings of depression quite well.
