Wish I could tell you, how hard I fought. To keep you from falling into a rut, conformed and wrought. This rut was no normal drain. Filled with depression, and self-hate and pain. Everyday I’d get an e-mail, telling myself I could the world’s boulder Then I found out weighted tenfold on your shoulders. I wanted to hug you, right through the computer screen. I wanted to talk, my insides would scream. But that’s not how you would have it. You kept it wise. You were a care-free young girl, in anther’s eyes. At home, wars were disputed. You kept your distance from your mother and your thoughts muted. Then one day, you left the real you exposed And of that little smiley girl, you disposed. You real smile flashed, and your eyes showed perception. You didn’t worry about difference, or acception. I wish the world was more like you. No “in” crowds, no “out” crowds. Nobody blue People did their own thing. Nothing troubled them to then end. Wish the world could be more like a few of my friends. |
