the walls, that chair
that face.
oh the memories here
where did they all go?
where did you go?

a single flame
flickers
in the dark of the room
oh, its you.
what are you?
your final lick of life
ashen and burning
much like
how you saw me

a pack of cards
an empty chair
dealt with a forbidden hand
of mistrust
and desperation
i see you now.
how did i miss it?

still don't know
what love means
or why i'm here.
your face,
the flickering fire
its all gone
its all disappeared
and i am left.
ah, but then theres you
within me
i can't ever let you go.
