"Hark! What be this thing heard Sound it not Mysterious? Sound it not Dangerous? Be it not Devilish? Nay foolish one quoth I, Tis nothing more than the Light-Bringer, The Sustainer, The Honest one. Hooves move silently, Cloaks rustle, But still he continues, His duty is simple: Do nothing but light the lamp. But who is to sya that the lamp must be lit? Who demand such a gross sin against the darkness? Humanity? Divinity? Or, mayhap something so very foolish that it mistrusts the dark... The very father of life, the being before all... The Sustainer. Why Light-Bringer do you force us to this fate? Why do you cower from the darkness? Let it hide you, your deepest desires, Your rooted anger, Your misaligned lust, Your shamefull greed. Or Go! Light the lamps... And see what humanity hides. |
