There was a darkness it sat alone but not lonely it hurt so much like pleasure it spat and writhed in extasy yet it was the monster and the man Spurred on by the nightghasts it screamed in the voice of the damned shunning the lights limited vision For the light could only see inside itself while darkness went on forever yet it could not escape from the chasm The watchmen held it down he stood over its grave and posted guard Eternal vigilance to hold what cant be held Yet even sometimes the watchmen must sleep For then the darkness will return When it comes beware for it is in you and me Eternally So won't you sing me a rainbow Josie roll me a song |
