Can you keep a secret? Can you hide my shame? May I wash my blood from you and draw this wound again? So many times I've tried To keep you at arms lenght To push you from my thoughts, find other ways to vent. I lock you in my drawer throw away the key but you keep on screaming begging to be free As my mind collapses in and my thoughts return to you i release you from your prison relieve me as you do. That old familiar sting that old familiar stain It's all that keeps me going It's what eases tastlest pain. But oh the guilty feeling It comes on just as quick as the dirty gash as the burning prick So hide my little secret Wash away my trickle red stainless steel oh how you gleam and put my pain to bed. |

great rhyme - the poem is really fluid with a wonderful flow - always good to have an ending with a sorta twist |

It just gets better and better! I have become a fan! I really like your work Sorrow, and this piece in particular. Strikes a rather resounding gong inside. Great work, Sylvia. |
