To Others, and Our Ownselves Be True

Singing songs of
"Oh I don't know why."
And every word I say
makes me wonder
if it will find it's way.
Yes, It's way back to you.

I fear to make you angry.
I fear to make you sad.
I fear you in every way.
I wish I hadn't done what I had.

I'm afraid to say anything,
I'm afraid of anything I do.
If it doesn't meet with your approval
It makes me afraid of you.

Don't you want people to love
just because they do?
Not because they fear you,
and what you might pursue?

I'm not interested in hurting anyone.
Not interested at all
I think there's plenty more in life.
Out to hurt, or harm isn't it at all.

Why can't we just live in peace
go about our way?
If there's not a kind word
then there's nothing left to say.

Words of kindness between us two
seems there's far less than a few,
So let's move on, go our seperate ways.
But that's not what you want
It would mean for me better days.

Can't you see it would be
better for you, too?
Lets move forward,
and to others,
and our ownselves
be true.

If in near five years you haven't heard me dear,
I don't think you ever will; seems to me, to be, quite clear.
