The Angel of No Mercy He is the spirit of vengeance -- And the servant of all holy. He is the master of violence -- The angel of no mercy. On his banner emblazoned -- His name -- by the God all mighty. Carved by fire- into his sword. The Angel of no Mercy. Close behind him follows Hell. He is Death the sacred prophecy. On his forehead burned across -- The Angel of no Mercy. As the bugles blow Degüello -- On a pale horse comes no pity -- The tempest howls in rage it cries. Behold -- the Angel of no Mercy. David D Jerald October 2000 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature saying, "Come and see!" And behold, a pale horse, and he who sat on it, his name was Death. Hades followed with him. Authority over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine, with death, and by the wild animals of the earth was given to him. The Bible, Revelations 6:7-8 KJV Degüello The degüello, music played by the Mexican army band on the morning of March 6, 1836. It was the signal for Antonio López de Santa Anna's attack on the Alamo. The word degüello signifies the act of beheading or throat-cutting and in Spanish history became associated with battle music, which, in different versions, meant complete destruction of the enemy --- without mercy. |

Thanks very much every one. I really wasn't sure where to put this poem so I threw it in the dark poem section. I read revelation in the KJV bible once and there was this angel God sent down to wreck havoc on 1/4 of the earth it scared the heck out of me but thrilled me to. Also even I have been filled with wanting revenge ... I think we all have at one time or another. Is it ok to say this is one of my favorite poems I have written? Now this doesn’t mean I’m headed out to wreck revenge on the earth today because I’m not. Maybe tomorrow. I’m too tired today. Thanks all, and thanks Marge for inviting me in. |

Ah, you've been here some time now. But I note that you never received a Welcome to Passions email. So, consider that remedied. A Long Belated Welcome, David. Please check your email for a Very Special Greeting! " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love |
