"For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off." - Leviticus 17:14 It burns a feeling beneath skin raked clean. consummately brusque in its kiss, deathly deep eyes hold immobile that which I could not move before. This flame my heart beats rapture, envy, lust. twice and twice it takes me lower, eternally capacious in its hunger; I surrender willingly what is not mine. Gross cessation it thickens and slows, euphoria pauses. sated and bloated, it holds me still. vaguely lost, drifting, a smile forms and I take what is offered, though unwanted. It wailed to its Not-God, and I wailed to mine. -*-*- |
