Somehow, Someway If I could run a race And had the power to set the pace Of how love is shown What I thought; what I've felt, by you, my intents, would be known. In all the confusion, and the clutter, you would know harsh words weren't what I meant to utter. Somehow, someway, I could make you understand Somehow, someway I could make you see unkind, ungrateful words weren't what was meant to be. If this ache could be felt by you You'd know it's not what I meant, it's true. Ungrateful, and unkind are not me, it's just the only part, it's all you can see. You can't see, and I can see why, but please know I wish you'd try. Try to see I'm human too and if I could take things back, I wish I hadn't hurt you. This yo-yo of emotions, this roller coaster ride, made my emotions run, and hide. And on the way to retreat when every thing I did, or said met defeat. Even if you didn't, I always knew, what was inside. All the words from you were snide, filled with pride. And if there wasn't a God to rely on as you sometimes seem to say and just powers that be that help us along the way. Then whatever those powers be They know it's the truth And that you would see if you'd take the time to look inside of me. I only meant to love, This you would see, And we both would be free. |

My life is weird most of the time, and depressing so. Things I read don't bother me. And God... it feels like he's left me out to dry. Oh well. Nice poem none-the-less. I know that's not the general consensus, but it's true I am open to hear, and I listen I don't just listen so I can talk. I listen to every word so I can be of the most help. This is soo powerful. Makes me feel that it was written for me. Maybe I need to try to understand others more, particularly those I love...trouble is, I am still working on me! Love is like Mumps.....the older you are when you catch it....the worse it feels |
