The maze

On the edge of an abyss

MY life's a maze
of empty spaces
Walls of steel
and cold dark places

Twists and turns
you wouldn't believe
It's all a facade
meant to decieve

It'll take you first
in one direction
Then spin you til
you've lost perception

It grabs your soul
and sqeezes tight
Until you've lost
the will to fight

Then you'll feel
the dark embrace
And pray to leave
this wretched place

But free to go
you'll never be
The normal world
you'll never see

the first stanza grabbed my attention...

very cool imagery and a great poem.
the rhyme fitted really well with it too.

a great read.
