I Wonder... I wonder what I am… Either I’m everything Or I’m a contradiction Because when I think about it I honestly can’t decide I suppose my personality is just that complex… I mean there’s me And then there’s my true self The less true side that everyone sees And the real side that’s rare to behold Both light and dark Smiling sadness Angry joy All at once Or none at all And these are just my emotions I wonder what I am… I feel like screaming darkness Behind gaping smiles Seeping shadows Behind the blinding light Either the true appearance Or the truth It doesn’t matter, though No one can tell the difference It makes me wonder Because both identities feel natural to me I don’t favor one above the other Both personalities coexist within Yielding to one or the other when necessary Perhaps it is just one being Made of opposites Or two souls Intertwined into one Hmm…I wonder… ~~Poetry is written emotion~~ |
