Strangely psychotic influences over me, Luckily I am not too blind to see, That my fate was erased, No need to be irate, That my fate was replaced, by a never-ending ache. An ache of fear, An ache of panic, An ache of being manic, And an ache, I just ran with it. My stomach churns, My heart burns, My muscles run on gasoline, And my voices all too stern, Fear overtakes me, Fear berates me, Fear is at stake, My fear is a mistake. A hermit behind closed doors, Thrown away the key, Perhaps because in the world in my head, I am a celebrity. Real world isn’t a show my friends, It is outside of our heads, The reality so obscene, Subtle like a submarine, But blatant enough to be mean enough to me. But on the bright side, At least I have my mind, No longer am I high, And I am finally free to heave a belated sigh. |

I truly liked this poem. I can honestly relate to it. I have felt the fear, the ache, and wanted to hide inside my head. I love the way it flows and the descriptions. Great poem. |
