She sits inside, too afraid to go out With the world looking in with so much doubt. The glass is her only window to the world Too afraid to go out, she sits tight curled. The world has been cruel and she knows much pain And going outside would cause no gain. So safely inside, she turns way From the bright of dawn and beautiful day. A prisoner she is, of her own soul To remain inside, her only goal. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |

I like this, we have an experience in common You are not alone. We've all been there. How we deal with it determines our paths. |

i feel this charatcer has a small amount of experince. in that if she stayed outside for a time, the pain would fade, indeed yes it will return i can guarentee this. however, the pleausres that arise outweight overwhelming(at least in my experince) i wonder, will she ever go outside? |

I can relate to these feelings of isolation brought on by one's self. I like the title and the general imagery of the poem. |
