She’s going away And taking happiness with her I’m alone Empty within, empty without Waking every morning Only to ask “What’s wrong with my life today?” Never once caring Then we’re at school, You dance just out of sight As I fake a smile, That no one notices Take no note, As I drown in thoughts of my own demise Finding solace in my last moments To late for healing To late for prayers You took it all away, With one last kiss… -lance There is no peace among the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter and the laughter of thirsting gods |

"You dance just out of sight" What a wonderful line to express the idea of trying to recapture a dream! Asia |

Waking every morning Only to ask “What’s wrong with my life today?” This is a very excellent poem and as for those lines, one day I think we have to wake up and realize that the only thing wrong with our lives are ourselves, happiness is a choice (I for one can't seem to make it)...nice write, thanks for sharing. |
