Streaming down a tranquil sea

In life, for life, a life.
two thirds of it you go to school.
try and try, trying to be someone.
call it life.

things happen along the way.
Thing you cant control.
is it faith?
call it life.

You strive to succeed.
Create something we all want and must have.
is this destiny?
call it life.

cancer, aids, std's.
Popularity, depression.
Love and loneliness.
call it life.

Im nineteen.
Seen a father and mother die.
they strived for me.
Only to be killed by what life has created.

Why live life? ...

god i'm turning into a cliche here today. remember the "they say that those things that don't kill you only make you stronger"? i think by your very posting of this poem you have indeed found the answer to its question. although i have to empathize with what you have had to endure, i believe there is a greater purpose, and you have learned so much in such a short amount of time, that you are going to become special to the world ~ a world that so desperately needs special people with wisdom and knowledge of "life" to sustain it.

Thanks, everyone for you comments. I agree, the pain you endure and go through makes you stronger. But only so much the mind and heart can take. :P
