You look like an ugly prom dress when you wear white trash bags in the rain. Momma is shooting up the entire place and soon I'll be in love with your mangled ghost. We are creatures. We are evolving backwards. (back to nature, back to licking the rain off the ground.) At night a door way appears between the blue room and the green room. You reside there. I come to visit you. I bring the coffee maker. You never were of this earth. I hear gun shots, I see some of the last shadows line the walls. (You play. You compete. I come to admire and of course you always win.) My favorite hiding place is freshly trimmed away to perfection, and I can no longer get lost in the overgrowth. But I still smell of outdoors. You construct me a hat out of white trash bags. I look old. Can they please just let us grow old without drinking cheap bitter coffee. Because here Momma has Daddys rifle and she's shooting away but the perfect music in the background can make any situation normal. We go on flipping small change off our thumbs just to hear the sound it creates mixed with the rain. Forget face value. What do you see. What do you really see... I never liked it indoors. We never were of this earth. |
