I’m lost Can’t find myself I’m lost In my own selfishness My own longing Longing to belong To become what I’m not To be loved by all, not just some I wanted to be part of the crowd To be noticed by all To be a “normal” teen Living amongst savage beasts I thought we were friends I thought we were pals Till you stabbed me in the back And showed me how How I could be so stupid To think I could ever belong Belong to a bunch of ignorant liars and thieves We are not alike We are not the same Now I know how much my pride got in the way It took who I am And shred it to pieces Leaving only what you wanted from me My mind was consumed My heart was devoured My life was converted into one of you beasts Well I got what I wanted I am part of the pack Part of the crowd that ate me as a snack I watch with you I stalk with you I hunt with you I run with you I am part of you I thought this would be exactly what I had always wanted Instead I am in pain I feel as if I’m going insane I am lost between what was me And what I am now I’m gone [This message has been edited by C_ROK06 (10-23-2003 04:59 PM).] |

thanx for the e-mail. greeting cards... kool. that could come in handy sometime. ^_^ yeah... i wrote this poem at the begining of last month. I was going through some stuff and this was the outcome i guess you could say. there is a lot more to it than that, but yeah... would take too long to explain. haha. well tanx u guyz for all the input, ill keep posting and ill be looking forward to all the replies. g2g. good write........ much thought went into that poem. i think though that the "in crowd" isn't always the best place to be. i never fit in with them people and i don't much like them. i have the few good friends i have and i think that's the best way to go. get yourself out before you can't...... |

Yup, we all definetly need help with this at some point in our lives. everyone wants to fit in with those around them, and in the process, lose what made them well... themselves.
