Pure and true the liar in you
Intention that confuse under a sky so blue

A story painted from the lies of your mouth
Stories of great giving and love to impart

Joy and happiness clouded by fear
Fear that these promises are all but near

Anger, hatred and broken our backs
Living to die or find our way back

Back to the safety we hide our souls in
Back to the lies we can feel comfortable in

Intentions so pure to ignorant virgin eyes
Intentions that create our bastard child

(Note: This is the first poem in a series entitled "Erudition Of My Soul".)

I think it's cool how you're doing a series. How many poems to you plan to have within it? This one is good too, but I have to say, I like the hardcore confessions one better.

Thanks for the response. I actually have 40 pieces of work already in the "Erudition" work. It is not all poetry and I encourage you to visit the following sections if you want to read all of it. (Mature, Open, Dark, Corner and Prose). It is not all poetry, I have about 15 prose in the series. I am glad you like it and I appreciate any and all feedback.
