Stare in my mirror, and what do I see? Pure self loathing staring back at me. Clawing at the vast mass of flesh, I call my tummy Wretching as I look down At my expanding, gargantuan thighs. Go back in my corner Sit there and cry, While you flash images Of girls, Much prettier than I. Their slender arms, waists and hips Bounce backward and forward Throughout my head. Desperately comparing myself To the rest. Watch what I eat, Watch what I do, I really do have no clue. Go back into my corner Sit there and cry, While you flash images Of girls Much prettier than I. *to the people who know me, if you do reply, please don't give me any of that "but you're not fat, Kirsty!" b.s, thanks :-)* "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"-Frank from Donnie Darko |

The eyes are the doorway (or in this case mirror) of the soul... and the one physical attribute I ever give full attention. That being said, this was a glimpse of pure beauty, as are all your writes. And vamp ~ since I don't know you in the having ever met face to face...is this an acceptable way of saying what you said not to say? Lose one friend... Lose all friends... Lose Yourself... |

We are our own harshest critics. And I'm trying to steer clear of what you told us not to say, but god, I totally agree with what Purity said, we see beautiful in your poems. Was this sparked by our conversation the other day? We are what we are. And I guess we have to accept that. Hollow. Courtney. I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. screw them skinny pretty girls they are superficial and only out to get one thing... you are so much more than them in everyway. respecting what u said i will not say it, however much i believe it to be true. you are perfectly fine the way you are and dont let no pretty skinny girl get you down cuz she cant enjoy a good meal! but seriously kirsty, dont worry about this kind of thing, (hypocritcal as i do all the time) cuz in the end be thankful ur healthy! (my mum tells me allllll the time) loved the poem, raw fresh emotion LOR put your frustrations into four letter words - incubus |

I don't know how to relate except I guess everyone has something they see as imperfect and since I guess its natural to want everything to be perfect it would probably help if you first decide does perfection really exist for people. On the outside some seem perfect, but not all is. Read my signature again. -GIS He has made everything beautiful in its own time. -Ecclesiastes 3:11 |

I aggree with GIC, and his signature. I am not the um...skinniest person it the world. I am not gonna go into details or nuthin, but i know that im not. sometimes, i feel really out of place, and really concious of everything i do. That has gotten better, thank god, but i used to be a lot worse. I used to wear really baggy clothes..(still do but not for the same reason) and i used to wear a hoodie everywhere i went (even in the summmer) It was bad, but then, i learned, to accept myself. I lost a little weight, not much, but i did, once i decided, that if someone didnt like me, because i dont look like britney spears, then they can go to hell, cuz i really dont care. And now, i really dont, and it feels a hellava lot better about myself. Basically what i am trying to say, is be happy for who u are, not who u are compared to those stuck up skinny wenches. Anyways, i loved the poem, it was amazing, and beautifully written. Karissa I ask why, but in my mind, |

Kirsty, from one who just gained a lot of weight from quitting smoking, I can surely relate. We are all our worse enemy, as you know and the first two lines could have come from my own head. Keep your head up and stick by the ones who see YOU because it is the beauty of the soul that lights up the outside. Craig says it all in his sig, for sure. |

this is beautiful... i go thru the same emotions every time i step outside my front door.... but there is one thing that keeps me going and that is live each day as though you will die tomorow and love as though you will live forever... i think of that and realise how stupid it is to be worried about how i look everyday so i thing bugger it im going to be me and anyone who doesnt like this will have to deal with it. coz i am NOT changing for any one for any reason unless i want to change.... think this everymorning or have it written where you will see it everyday and you will forget those things... it does work... ne way... the poem is amazing like al your others.. keep these beautiful pieces of work coming. Ruth live life as if your going to die tomorow....... but love as if your going to live forever...... |

Like silhouetted said, don't worry about this type of thing. Being skinny is not so great. Lol...I am skinny and I actually wish i were alittle fatter...I eat and eat and eat, but doesn't help. Anyways..the point is, this is such a dumb thing to care about (not that you r dumb for caring). You just have to remember that you're perfect just the way you are, and shouldn't change for anyone Great poem...I enjoy your work so much. ~Alli~ *:.AIM = Alli4000.:* |

hi again... my sisters birthday today and her friend gave her a book call 365 reasons NOT to diet. there are some really good ones there and i'd thought i'd share them. Your not fat - You're womanly. Your cat doesnt care if your fat or thin. Food is too good to not have. You don't want to put fast food outlets out of business. You don't want to be a skinny little grumpy twig with 3 friends do you? Diets dont work. hehe my fav is the cat one lol! cheer up! LOR put your frustrations into four letter words - incubus |
