Darkness.
It wraps around me like a cloak,
Swarming around me
Revealing all my fears
My deepest emotions
My greatest sorrows

It holds me close,
Squeezes me tight
Takes me to a place,
Where no happy thoughts can be found.

Why?
Why does this happen to me?
Is it because, in the dark
I am all alone
I realise no-one cares

It is here, in the dark,
That I realise,
Darkness is my only friend.
Darkness knows all.

Darkness knows all,
A frightening thought.
I do not like
My mind being an open book
For people to read at lesuire.

For now, I do not like this,
So I think I shall turn on the light
Where I can do and wish as I please.
Even if it means,
I am fake.
For I think I would rather be fake.
Than for darkness,
To suffocate me
And truth to eat me up inside.

I really like this poem. I like the
"So I think I shall turn on the light
Where I can do and wish as I please.
Even if it means,
I am fake.
For I think I would rather be fake.
Than for darkness,
To suffocate me
And truth to eat me up inside." part especially...i can sorta relate to it in a way...great write...keep up the good work.
