Snow Storm It is a cold winter night A blizzard I do believe The snow falling to the ground Making high snow filled mounds My son who is bored says “Lets go for a ride.” Being a silly mother I say “Ok lets go for a slide.” We slip down the stairs unable to see I think what has come over me Into Gobble-Gut we do go ( A tank. A Ford LTD.) Off to see the snowy show The snow heavy Cannot see in front of me Do not back up Do not stop Keep moving straight into the snowy sleet Hours go by ( 30 minutes ) A light ahead Home! My son smiling and laughing says “That was neat.” I think I’m beat To all you parents when your child says “Lets go for a ride.” To this loving child we say, “No!”  Love Bon-Bon |
