Pretty Little Red Box

The ornate ballroom glittering with crystal chandeliers-
Walls lined with rich brocade tapestries
Towering bouquets of flowers,
the color of brilliant white.
In the middle of all this opulence,
a vortex of light pirouettes softly.
This light caressing a velvet ribbon of snowy white and a pretty little red box.
What can it be?
What is hidden in the creases
of soft supple velvet and lacey satin?
Is it magic?
Is it seductive to the beholder?
Music fills the room-
The melody has the feel as if coming from the pretty little red box.
Walking closer,
you see lace hidden in the folds of black satin.
This lace and satin toppling over the outer edge
of the pretty little red box.
Perfume invades your senses, the aroma of Chanel.
You hear a caressing voice that enters your pulsating heart.
This sound touching you deep within your searching mind.
A hand with long slender fingers beckoning you to enter the domain of
the pretty little red box.
You shake your head as if in a daze-
Curious. ........A seductive smile touching your lips.
The lid opens and sparkling stardust fills the room.
With arms wide open, your eyes aglow-
You stand and visualize the beauty that is held within
The Pretty Little Red Box.
