(Hanky-Alert! ) Yestermorrow By: Noah Eaton 12/6/03 Heaven, when the hell did this happen? What would Jesus do? Should we have seen this coming, or did we jump the gun too soon? I pray you'll step out of your camouflage, walk out of yestermorrow Hold a prayer to your numb heart, here's one you can borrow. It's never too late, to escape, so let me be your by-way. When you cry, that is why, I swear I'll give it a try. Here's the place, now's the time I know we'll make it out alright I understand you're dead scared, but I won't leave you behind. Right here, right now We have to make it out somehow I understand you're dead scared... Well I wish you'd not let them get to you, and let them slap you in the face. Your lips been bleeding for mercy, Lord knows it's never delayed. She says her heart's left as paper on fire, her faith a Proscenium arch. Let the angels look beyond your make-up mirror, let the tears clean away the starch. It's never too late, to escape, so let me be your by-way. When you cry, that is why, I swear I'll give you a try. Here's the place, now's the time I know we'll make it out alright I understand you're dead scared, but I won't leave you behind. Right here, right now We have to make it out somehow I understand you're dead scared... BUT I WON'T LEAVE YOU BEHIND... . . . . . . . . . . Heaven, what's going to happen? What would Jesus do? Could it be what's done is done, when did we miss our cue? Now she's crawled into another rabbit hole, back into yestermorrow. And she tore the prayer to shreds, the one I let her borrow. Now it's too late, to escape, she took the free-way. When she cries, that is why, I still wish I could give her a try. Here's the place, now's the time Why couldn't we make it out alright? I understand you're dead scared, why'd I have to leave you behind? Right here, right now We have to make it out somehow, I understand that you're dead scared but why'd I have to leave you behind... . . . . . . Lord, why'd I have to leave her behind... . . . . . . . Lord, why'd I have to leave her behind... So many layers within this one. Perhaps there is no answer, Noah, and that Q will be with you for all your tomorrows. Soft smiles and heart hugs. |

This reminds me of a song from the late 50's or early 60's, "Teen Angel." I really liked it, though the theme was a sad one, it had a romanticism about it. Good one, Noah. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Wow, Noah, this is very sad. Hanky-alert indeed. The depth of this write is really stirring. I must read it over and over, and put it in my library. Thank you. ~K~ |

"Yestermorrow" ~ did you coin this word? I think it is mucho neato! I'm like a rocking horse chompin' on its bit, waiting to be able to hear you sing the melodies to all of your fascinating and intriguing lyrics! ~ and yes, what would Jesus do??? Loves & hugs, EA |

Noah, I wish that we could hear you sing your songs in the background as we read the lyrics to them. Wouldn't that be really neat? I think so, too. Hugs Ethel |

Applause..... I have lloked at your coined word carfully, Noah.. "Yestermarrow" ...Could this be another way to phrase the present? Or present time? An equation of averaging... yesterday....The day before this day plus Tomorrow......The day after this day, equals the present time or this present day by mathamatical average... I know, I know, I am probably looking to deep again.... _________ice ><> |
