Undusted memories Sit arranged for view Aloft a stained piano. Pictures I refuse to accept Within my mind. I had imagined once, Traced love, lingered there… But looking past Black and white They turn sullen red. On holidays, I still refuse to hold These memories… For some things Just exist, To be left beneath it all. - And so it was that time stood still - (blink, breathe, stand, fight) [This message has been edited by GG (11-24-2003 01:28 AM).] |

The summation of your poem is superb... "For some things Just exist, To be left beneath it all." How so very true. Nice poem. |

On holidays, I still refuse to hold These memories… For some things Just exist, To be left beneath it all. Alyssa, this is a really good poem. And you are so right....some memories are not worth remembering.....they are just too painful. Very good writing. Hugs Ethel Hey, I like your new picture up there! |

Ethel, about the pic thansk lol I thought the other one looked a little to angry so a newer, more tired look was better. And yes, they are just too painful, much too painful... thank you Kelly, Glad you did! Thanks much Brad, thanks man Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows |

this is an amazing write. i see that i need to come in here more often, as we have many brilliant new writers, you definitely included! each stanza of this is powerful enough it could stand alone as a single poem. i especially loved the following lines: "had imagined once, Traced love, lingered there… But looking past Black and white They turn sullen red." excellent! take care. amy "love is like a butterfly-- |
