She is like perhaps a vase that sits upon the table. Not as white as unsoiled linen, nor pure as raw, fresh honey. Just sitting there in simple grace, with nicks from time’s onslaught that cover not of gentle curves; hide not of vase’s essence. She is like perhaps a vase, that ever sits in beauty. Ah, to be accepted and loved, as almost perfect, semi-permanent, and darn near complete is about as wonderful as it will ever get. Time has a way of showing the true value of such a treasure. Great poem Tim. |

I am certain I do not fully comprehend the translation of wabi-sabi, but in my limited knowledge it is a Japanese term concerning the appreciation of beauty through imperfection. I had heard the term on the cartoon, "King of the Hill" (a Simpson's spin off). Yes, my inspiration sometime comes from strange places. |

Reminds me of a poem I wrote of a vase... perhaps its time to dig it out of the archives... Much enjoyed, Sir! |

*smile* This is very beautiful, with a subtle Beat quality when read aloud. |
