I don't know why I bother
I know he doesn't care
I lost a love that I know was so rare

I thought we'd be together forever
But I guess I was wrong

I try to fix the gaps between us but they only seem to grow
Nothing will bring us back together
I am so lost without your love

What hurts the most is what you've asked of me
Banish the life that grows inside of me becasue of you
You say you're not ready to be a father
And I'm not ready to be a mother
But I still don't think deth is the answer

I live day to day hoping you'll change your mind
Come back to me and love the baby that grows
All while knowing there isn't really a chance
