(AN: First...I rarely "rhyme"...you'll see why.
Second...I have no idea what an "ode" is...it just seemed to want to be called that!
Third...this is sooooo out of my realm...I have no idea WHERE it came from!
WHEW!)

On my long drive home today
I saw a rainbow in a fountain spray.
In the middle of a retention pond
with asphalt terrain all around.
And detritus of urban decay
was everywhere in blatant display.
It bemused me so to plainly think
Of God's attention to a scene so bleak.
If only we had the eyes to see
Spirit's true identity,
In all the things we do and say
We just might have more peace today!

First...thanks for the reply...and, please, dear...do NOT hold your breath on that as I truly enjoy your art and would not want to be without it.
