*** The sun was sizzling like the grill In the back of the busy deli, While perspiring cars slowly climbed uphill Like Lilliputs on Gulliver’s belly. As though some maiden basked in the sky, With a golden ring in her navel, The melting snowman gazed up, awry, At the first warm caresses of April. *I know I'm a bit early on this one... but I hate the cold weather, and I'm really looking forward to spring. :) Check out my poetry here: |
