I do not miss you when you’re gone. You think I grieve, my heart is torn. You say I think of nothing else. But my days are free, there is no stress. I never question where you are. I do not care that you are far. My thoughts are light, my mind is clear. I do not fret that you aren’t near. Instead of email I want to read. My life is full of routine deeds. It is a relief to be alone. No urge to call you on the phone. There is no guilt, no burning thoughts, Or worries that it’s you I’ve lost. I know you want me to be strong. I do not miss you when you’re gone. [This message has been edited by Youngatheart (01-25-2004 01:09 PM).] |

Very contradicting, I feel. This piece has a light, airy feel to it, and I think it sounds a bit didactic...trying to convince yourself, or someone else? McLean |
