Time Passages

Life is but a dream
that becomes reality,
but does such a dream
last throughout eternity?

For we are here
merely a moment to share,
just a ray of light
through the suns blazing glare.

We are on this earth
only a fraction of time,
and a dream becomes locked
within each and every mind.

As destinies are searched for,
are they ever really found?
Yet the clock of time
slowly keeps winding down.

As each presence on this earth
surely will fade away,
the memories of that life
shall always be here to stay.

Because each life is impressed
in the pages of mankind,
and time surely dwells
within the passages of our minds.

How can love just stop?
Somebody tell me,
help me understand...

I thank you all for the kindness. This was originally written if memories serve me correctly back around 1981 or so...I thank you for enjoying it with me.

Gently Spirit,

I always enjoy your poems. They get me going.

If eternity be the sleep
and the dream be the reality
then reality must drift in and out for
an eternity thus
there is always a beginning at every end resulting in a continuium.

Love your work..enough of this, I've got to get back to work..
