I looked at myself Mirror panting She stood me up And watched me fall And when I hit the earth I burst Melting into melting into melting silver Seeping through the snake hole Throw the Tundra in a blender Spin it around till galaxies Produce their friction Rubbing together like chains I lost myself Where could I be? “Not here” announced the fog through the snake hole I fall took the pill that makes you swallow I unearthed pyramids Beneath the surface Society ate me And I fell again She burned me And I died again. You dont die You merely go through a hell that you remember 40 years later Lying and screaming on a floor whilst people who care look at the ceiling, suck their teeth and complain about "what would the neighbours think" You close the scars and you treat them as closed Dave |

well done! truly, we can get smothered when we are obliged to conform against our desires. i like this part best-- "Society ate me And I fell again She burned me And I died again." |
