I’ve seen him on the sidewalks and the streets, There so close so many times and yet to meet, Neither I nor he taking the time to greet, A matter of proprieties you see, I’ll not bother him, he’ll not bother me, Making the sad times drain off easily, Many have been the times us both in black One of us comes upon the other’s back, Or seen passing in cluttering of track. Neither I nor he taking the time to greet, I’ll not bother him, he’ll not bother me, Or seen passing in cluttering of track. Gloom |

I think you have a crush on him! Was easier reading your write this morning than I initially imagined, and for that I was pleased. Your write makes me think of all the opportunities we have daily to make a connection of some sort, but instead, we are wrapped up in our social "supposed-to-be's" or merely distracted. Smile at this man in black the next time you come across his back...you never know what possibilities lie ahead. McLean |

A photographer you are and a witness I hear. Observation and reflection, how you write. Holding a mirror sometimes. Thanks. |

i liked this..i kept getting the images of two old train engines, constantly passing never meeting...but it might be because of the word "track" and such....whether or not i got the meaning wrong...i picked up a feeling of respect and familiarity (and a bit of longing), but i dont find it so sad! just was a pleasant read... |
