* * *

I can see no rhyme or reason
As to how I came to write
But words for me flow freely
Often in the dead of night

I have no magic formula
Words flow like blood through a vein
I am inspired by other writers
Whose friendship is my gain

Why is it that I rhyme?
It seems to happen with such ease
I feel the more that I write
The more I'm eager to please

I may write of fact or fiction
It can be difficult to tell
But from all that I have written
I feel you know me very well

You've held my hand in grief
At the depth of my despair
You've comforted me in sadness
Your words show how much you care

'tho there is distance between us
I feel you are always close at heart
Your words to me speak volumes
Making us not so far apart

I look back over my writing
And I see how much I've grown
As I've opened up my heart
There is so much that I have shown

I continue on my journey
With your friendship close at hand
And like the conductor of an orchestra
I let my heart take full command

* * *

"The glory of friendship
is not the outstretched hand
nor the kindly smile
nor the joy of companionship.
It is the spirited inspiration
that comes to one
when he discovers that
someone else believes in him
and is willing to trust him
with his friendship"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue -- that is a two-way street!  I could not have penned my own thoughts about this matter better than this -- it's like you read my mind!

Sue, this is so true for me, too.

Remarkable job on this one, Sue.  Beautiful!  Isn't it neat how writing through this media can be very healing and rewarding?  Many here, I'm sure, are nodding their heads in agreement with you as they read your perfectly fitting words.

Sue:  Your writing was just meant to be and also for you to be a member of Passions. We have all gained from knowing you and I know you have gained from the association.  You write so beautifully and I still feel that gift came from your father.

Thank you all so much for your replies.  You are the exact people I speak of, some of which have been with me since I first began three years ago.  I truly believe that although we are far in distance our words keep us close at heart.  I cherish each and every one of the friendships I have made here at PIP and it is a place where I find comfort, inspiration and above all.....love.

Take care........Sue
