My grandson who is only two, Gives me so much joy. His smile would melt the toughest heart. I love this little boy. He loves to hug me ‘round the neck. His face is close to mine. His cheeks are soft and rosy pink. He makes me feel so fine. His greatest hero is his “Pop”. He never leaves his side. He thinks his “Pop” stands ten feet tall. Their love grows ever wide. When he sleeps he never stirs. His thoughts are full of dreams: Cars and trucks and puppy dogs. And candy and ice cream. It amazes me how much he knows. He watches everything. His eager eyes are wide and full. He misses not a thing. How blessed I am to have this gift. Forever I’ll give thanks. For having to step over things Like drums and boats and tanks. |
